Clyde's Story Part II

Karen has been here in the US now for a little over a year. It seemed like the visa process took decades, but in reality it was just under 9 months. The year that she has spent with me now seems only like a few days. I cannot explain how complete I feel to see her every day. I wake to her pretty face and each day I rush home from work, just to hold her in my arms and see her pretty smile. She is the joy of my life.

But God knows that two is not a complete story and he has chosen to bless us with a child. So we are patiently awaiting the arrival of Juliani Josie. She could be here anytime now. With all the blessings I have already received, this one takes my breath away. God has shown me not only that I am blessed with Karen and the up coming baby, but also with the friends and family around us.

I continue to be overwhelmed by the support of family and friends. From them we have seen the generosity and support that can only come through the grace of God. Like so many new parents, Karen and I have doubts, fears and concerns. Yet at the same time we know we have strength through our family, friends and church.

In December Karen and I will have been married for two years already. I cannot believe that two years has passed since our typhoon wedding in the Philippines. I cannot imagine spending a day with out Karen in my life. The past year was spent getting to know each other. Like many couples there are challenges, but God has shown us how to overcome these challenges. So we continue to spend our time together, getting to know each other. We will continue to enjoy things like our trip to San Antonio and going to hockey games and going to baseball games and going to a parade or a ballet and even our quite time together, but now through the grace of God we will be three in place of two ( I’m sure with a lot less quite time).
